Personalised care for your smallholding
This service includes our base level house sitting service – we will live in your home throughout the day and overnight for the duration of your time away. For more information about what to expect when we house sit, take a look at our housesitting service page.
For smallholding care, we take on all our usual house sitting responsibilities while keeping your smallholding running and your animals happy! We aim to fit seamlessly into your routine and will wake as early as you do to tend to the animals’ needs, letting out and shutting away animals at the times as outlined by you. We will keep to any guidelines involving feeding, spending time with the animals, tending to the land as needed and maintaining all animals’ living space, preparing special food when required while following your instructions completely. We love to give animals lots of love and attention – if your horses like a scratch under the chin, your alpacas like to snack on sliced up apple, or your goats like to be walked, we are more than happy to do so and love to provide the best care for them.

Feeding + Healthcare
Keeping your smallholding pets happy and healthy
We will feed your animals their diet (all food provided by you) and any treats permitted as outlined by you. We are comfortable with tasks such as picking horses’ hooves and administering medication when required, provided we have all the information we need to do so. We can brush and muck out your animals as much or as little as they need, collect eggs from poultry, lift out any broody birds, and perform multiple checks a day on animals out in fields.
Safety
Your smallholding is in good hands
As we always house sit as a couple, there will always be two pairs of hands and eyes looking out for all your animals and as such we are comfortable pet sitting any number of animals. We also have a range of experience caring for reactive and anxious animals, and are comfortable with committing to these responsibilities provided that we are given this information upfront.
We will keep you updated on how your animals are doing while you’re away, providing photos, video updates and messages as often as requested. We let you tell us how much contact you’d like during our stay, and are never offended if owners request regular updates – especially if you haven’t used pet sitters before.
